Jesus said to them,
“I tell you, the tax collector went home justified,
not the Pharisee, for whoever exalt themselves
will be humbled, and those who humble
themselves will be exalted”

It’s hard for me to believe that I am entering the 6th year of my assignment as pastor of SS Patrick & Andrew and All Saints Parishes. A pastoral assignment in the Diocese of Toledo is typically for a term of six years.

I would like to thank all those who will receive an evaluation, for your participation in this important assessment. Thanks for your honesty, and thanks for your promptness in completing the evaluation and returning it to the diocese. Be assured that your responses will be recorded truthfully, collated and complied in a report that assures your anonymity, while providing me with all of your important feedback. This report will also be sent to the members of the Priest’s Personnel Board who advise the Bishop about all priestly assignments, as well as to one other brother priest who will help me to reflect on the evaluation. This time of evaluation is so important. It is a useful tool for my own personal growth as well as a helpful tool in discerning what is best for our parishes at this point in our shared journey of faith.
Know of my gratitude and joy for the opportunity to serve as your pastor, and pray for a spirit of openness in responding best to God's unfolding plan for my life and for our parish families.
